Youth Group Activity Trips Portugal
Tailor-made activity camps for kids – Perfect for youth groups, guardianships and school trips in Portugal!
Our adventure holidays for youth groups in Portugal are an amazing opportunity for the kids to enjoy outdoor activities & watersports, explore a new destination & culture and to get to know each other. Not only is the weather in Portugal really great for an all year round destination in Europe, it also has a spectacular coastline from north to south and all the way to the islands, including Madeira.
Big Blue offers private kids camps & activity holidays for guardianships, schools and other youth groups throughout the country. Each camp is tailor-made to your group’s needs and preferences, so you can decide what activities your kids group will enjoy the most. Choose to combine city exploring with watersports in our most popular destination Lisbon, opt for something more rural and beachy in West Algarve or go for sub-tropical and adventure in Madeira.
Big Blue Adventures works with child-friendly accommodation options, like private villas, apartments, hotels and hostels. We offer a wide variety of outdoor activities such as surfing, coasteering and canyoning but also things like rock-climbing, Jeep tours and hiking. Our team will be there from the first moment of contact, all the way to the delivery of the school trip or holiday camp in Portugal. Unique Marine Life
Madeira is an up and coming destination for adventure travel in Europe and it has been voted the best island in the world, several years in a row! The Portuguese island has a sub-tropical climate which makes it a great all year round destination. It offers a vast array of marine life including dolphins and whales, which is why Madeira is one of the world’s leading destinations for whale watching. Be blown away by the beauty of tropical plants and flowers, rugged coastlines and green mountains. It’s an epic place to visit with a youth group, as there is so much to do and see and the island is small enough to cover a lot of ground within a short period of time. Stay at one of our quality group accommodation options in the picturesque capital of Funchal, nestled in between the mountains and the sea, or opt for a more rural stay on the north coast. Canyoning and hiking in Madeira are world-class outdoor activities and cannot be missed! And for football lovers a visit to the Cristiano Ronaldo museum is a must. There are so many activities for young adventurers to enjoy, including sailing & snorkelling, mountain-biking and surfing. It’s a very friendly and safe destination, with an interesting culture and outdoor lifestyle. Madeira ticks all the boxes for a fun active kids-camp in Portugal.

Hosted Holiday Camps
With any of our Big Blue Adventures we always aim for a personal customer service (Travel & Hospitality Award winners for ‘excellence in customer service’). We are there to take the stress off your hands and to coordinate the whole camp in Portugal. Working closely with the rest of your team is important to us and we want to make sure you get to enjoy the kids camp too!
Pics & Highlights Video
A really great way for the kids to show their parents what the camp was like, is with our highlights videos and pictures. You don’t need to worry about taking that perfect group picture as we’ll be bringing our GoPro cameras and shoot as much footage as we can. We’ll even bring the cameras during the outdoor activities to get lots of action shots in there and create a personal highlights video showing all the adventures.
Transfers
If you need airport transfer or transport from your accommodation to our activities then we can arrange that for you, in fact it is usually expected on our adventure holiday camps in Portugal. We have mini-busses available for groups of all sizes. We also love to take the kids exploring around the local area, so our mini-busses come in handy!
Meals & Drinks
You can choose between self-catering, bed & breakfast, half board or all-inclusive for your active holiday camp. We can also include things like packed-lunches, BBQ nights and a local Portuguese dining experience. Often there will be professional caterers on site to provide the meals.
Holiday Camp Extras
There are lots of extras we can add to your kids camp in Portugal, including (outdoor) cinema nights, award nights, outdoor games such as slack-line, football, beach-volleyball, quiz nights and board-games. If you have any ideas, or would like more info on the extras we can provide, feel free to ask us on the Quote page.
