Canyoning in Portugal
Discover the waterfalls and gorges of Portugal on a thrilling canyoning adventure on Madeira Island!
What is canyoning?
Explore the incredible natural surroundings inside a gorge, or canyon, in Portugal with the perfect harmony between adventure and nature. Make your way through the flowing river while abseiling down waterfalls, scrambling across rocks, sliding down rapids and jumping into deep rockpools!

The ultimate adventure on Madeira island
Madeira Island is one of the best places in Europe to take your group canyoning. Not only does the sub-tropical climate make it a great all year destination, but the island also offers a huge variety of canyoning locations, with many being completely beginner friendly. From level 1 which is perfect for youth groups, to our standard level 2 which covers an abundance of cool abseils and jumps, the Portuguese island offers great canyoning experiences for all types of groups. Once you’ve completed level 2 and have a thirst for more adrenaline, we can even take you on level 3 which includes an epic 60m abseil down an impressive waterfall (small-medium groups only).
Whether you want to include canyoning as part of your company offsite, stag weekend or getaway for youth groups, it’s an adventure that shouldn’t be missed when visiting Madeira! We’ll create a package tailored to your group, including accommodation, transfers and meals. Already have your accommodation sorted? No worries, we can also help with a daytrip!
