Canyoning in Wales
Enjoy an exhilarating Wales canyoning experience in the stunning waterfalls and gorges of Snowdonia and Brecon Beacons National Parks.
What is canyoning?
Explore the incredible natural surroundings inside a gorge, or canyon, in Wales with the perfect harmony between adventure and nature. Make your way through the flowing river while scrambling behind waterfalls, sliding down rapids and jumping into deep rockpools!

The ultimate adventure in Wales
Include an invigorating canyoning experience on your group trip to the UK’s adventure playground. Wales offers some epic canyoning routes; abseil down waterfalls, glide off natural slides and down the rapids in Snowdonia. Or scramble through gorges, swim in the fresh waters and jump into the cool rockpools of the Brecon Beacons. All routes will quench your thirst for an adrenaline-fuelled adventure. Canyoning is a beginner-friendly watersport and we always encourage ‘adventure by choice’, so if you don’t fancy the big jumps, you can just swim or walk around until you get to a smaller jump that you feel more comfortable with.
Whether you want to include canyoning as part of your company offsite, stag weekend or getaway for youth groups, it’s an adventure that shouldn’t be missed when visiting Wales! We’ll create a package tailored to your group, including accommodation, transfers and meals. Already have your accommodation sorted? No worries, we can also help with a day trip!

We recently worked with Big Blue Adventures to organise our team building trip to Sesimbra in Portugal, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. From the initial planning stages to the final goodbye, their attention to detail and professionalism was exceptional, making it completely hassle-free for us.
Upon arrival at the airport, we were greeted by their friendly staff, and the transfer to our hotel was seamless. Everything was well-coordinated, ensuring that there were no delays, and our team felt taken care of from the very beginning. It set the tone for a stress-free weekend. The accommodation selected for our stay was perfect. The hotel was modern, clean, and the food was great.
The activities were a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation, giving everyone a great time and bringing us closer as a team. I tried the Coasteering, but I wasn’t very confident in the water, so I mentioned it to the team. They ensured all the instructors knew who I was and made sure I always felt safe. It was an incredible experience.
One of the highlights was having the guys take professional photos and videos of us throughout the day. They captured all the memories, meaning we didn’t need to be on our phones all of the time.
Thanks to the fantastic team at Big Blue Adventures, the entire trip was completely stress-free. They handled all the logistics, allowing us to focus on what mattered — building stronger relationships within our team.
We highly recommend Big Blue Adventures for any corporate event or team-building trip. They truly exceeded all our expectations!
Why we love this...
“Canyoning in Wales is so much fun because it has a lot of different sections. It’s not just jumping or just scrambling – it is a bit of everything. The gorge makes it a very flexible activity; there are no swells or currents to worry about, and if it rains… who cares? You’re in the rainforest after all!” – Heleen, Co-owner
