Canyoning Wales, UK
Choose between Brecon Beacons or Snowdonia for canyoning / gorge walking in Wales, an epic group adventure!
Ever considered canyoning in South Wales or Snowdonia? It’s an outdoor activity lover’s dream and our bestseller in Wales!
We will take you exploring in a Welsh rainforest, jumping into rock-pools, abseiling down waterfalls, gliding off natural water-slides and down rapids. Canyoning pushes your boundaries in a stunning environment, where our routes are easily adjusted to the confidence levels in your group. There is sometimes confusion about the differences between canyoning and gorge walking. They are essentially the same thing, only canyoning involves ropework and gorge walking is more free-flowing (we offer both, but refer to it as canyoning which is more internationally known). If you love outdoor adventures, you may also like to check out our Outdoor Activities Wales page.

How much will canyoning cost?
All our day and multi-night packages are 100% tailor-made for you! So, we can create a Big Blue Adventure to suit specific budgets and what you would like to include for the perfect adventure. The more activities and package elements you include the more that package will cost. It also depends on your final numbers in the group, generally larger groups have a cheaper per person rate over smaller groups, as there are more people to split the core package costs between. Best thing to do is request a quote – it costs you nothing to start the ball rolling and say hello, we can send a great package your way from there.
Payments
When you’re ready to book your adventure we simply start with a 30% non-refundable deposit to confirm it all. The final balance is typically required no later than 3 weeks before your activity date for day tours or 6 weeks for multi-night packages. Most customers pay by bank transfer, but we can also accept debit and credit card transaction upon request.
We can also make some changes between the deposit and the final balance payment. Such as amending a few dropouts / attendee increases, or making some package changes within reason. For further information please do see our terms and conditions.
What to bring
To take part in canyoning all you need is:
- A pair of old spare trainers – like running trainers / hiking boots, with sturdy sole that you don’t mind getting wet (not flimsy wetsuit boots)
- Swimwear or spare underwear for under the wetsuit
- Old pair of boardies / sports shorts to wear on top of the wetsuit (to protect wetsuit)
- A towel
- Sun cream
- Water for afterwards (please try and avoid throw away single use plastic!)
- Any medication you need to keep on you, such as an asthma pump or EpiPen etc
All the essential kit is included; wetsuits, helmets, buoyancy aids and any climbing gear. On our package tours, we also bring cosy towel ponchos to help you get changed.
Note: no climbing harnesses required in Brecon Beacons, as this area is technically ‘gorge walking’, or canyoning without ropes!
Are meals & drinks included?
We can include lunch, a packed lunch or dinner after the canyoning with drinks. It all depends on what type of meal you want, how much budget you have for the meal and free time. We work with some amazing local pubs closer to the canyoning or we can stop by restaurants and establishments, such as a Welsh wine tasting or gin tasting with food.
Group size
Our minimum group size for activities is 10+ people, but we can take much larger groups.

Why We Love This…
“Canyoning in Wales is so much fun because it has a lot of different sections, it’s not just jumping or just scrambling, it is a bit of everything. The gorge makes it a very flexible activity, there are no swells or currents to worry about and if it rains.. who cares, you’re in the rainforest after all!”
