View of the north end of Prince Rupert Bay and the town of Portsmouth. This huge bay is over 2 miles long and is very well protected fromall but the worst hurricane weather.

Coconut Beach Hotel has been hit twice by hurricanes and has survived pretty well. The only signs are the missing bits of dingy dock to get ashore as shown below. It has the best beach on the island as shown right but I'm guessing the hurricanes have taken their toll on the sand.
