BIG BLUE ADVENTURES LAST UPDATED 19th Jan 2008

Update Jan 08 - Hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year, all was quiet and hot here, the hurricance season has finished and it was a quiet one for Grenada again, now into the dry season so the island will make a rapid change from mostly green and lush, to large areas of brown and dry as the plants wait for the next rains which start in June/July,

Update Dec 07 - Well we have just been told that our house plans have been passed so we are now talking to builders and hopefully will start to build early in 2008.

Sam is now 2 years old as of 20th Dec, we put his birthday presents under the Christmas tree and helped him find them, then 5 days later there are Christmas presents under the tree, now he looks under the tree every morning to see if the presents keep on coming, poor little fella has no idea that it will be another year before the magic tree produces crop of presents.

Grenada Seafaris is now up and running since 1st Nov 2007, things are starting to happen and we have started taking tour bookings and private charters. Working with the cruise ships, hotels, guest houses St Georges University, schools and local residents should keep us very busy. The cruise ship season is very active until April 2008 so not much time off between now and then.

At the end of July 2007 we secured the sale of Leadership.

After completing our trip from the USA to Venezuela we think we have found what we were looking for on the island of Grenada. Having moved back ashore we decided to put our floating home where we have lived for the past 3 years up for sale.

Hey All, ..... At last an update ....... I know ..I know its been over a year..... but hey... better late than never!!

Well our next update is well overdue and because of some technical difficulties and some not so technical incompetencies we have been .... for one reason or another unable to update the web site for quite some time. Well the good new is that with some help and guidance form Phil and Helen we were able to get everything connected again which will allow us to ramble on in cyber space again

The first news is that we have sold Leadership, … the sale was going through in July as we were preparing to return to the UK…..about a week after we returned to the UK the sale closed so that was a huge relief that we did not have to worry about if Grenada was going to be pounded by a tropical storms while we were away. So what's life like as a non boat owner......... well I've no idea because the construction of our new boat was well under way and after successful testing it is on it way to Grenada.......more about that in a while.

We have been back in the UK for 6 weeks already and it looks like we will be here for another 2 weeks. Yesterday we booked our flight back to Grenada leaving on the 20 th Sept which means we will have been here for 8 weeks…. A bit longer than we had thought .. but we have done a lot while we have been here… but now we are keen to get back to life in Grenada .

Sam is growing like mad and becoming soooo independent, … its hard to give up our little baby, he has turned into a little boy before our eyes. Everyone said it would the time would go too fast but you never believe it until it's happened. He wants to do everything himself… but he still finds time for mummy and daddy when things go wrong and there are bumps and bruises to kiss better.

At a friends house Sam discovered a cat-flap, at first he is happy to just look through it, .. as time goes on he predictably decides to try and post the contents of the house through it. Posting things is a fun game and any household object that can be carried is at risk. Finding things in the toilet is not unusual ....... from experience we now make sure the TV remote controls are out of reach.

Sam with his own table and chair doing some major construction.

While sorting out some of our things from storage we found a crate of towels, … in a flash Sam was in the crate and had made himself comfortable....

Back in Grenada we are working on some building plans CLICK HERE TO CHECK IT OUT.
